You want an energetic, pain-free body that loves to move.

Too far away to attend a session in-person? No worries! If you're not local, thanks to the magic of technology you can still benefit from a Restorative Exercise session with me. We'll use Skype to get together "in-person".

One-on-One Restorative Exercise sessions are for you if you:

  • prefer your sessions custom tailored entirely to you and your needs
  • learn best with the close eye of individual attention
  • have a schedule that stands in the way of attending regular group classes
  • get hives just thinking about taking group classes
  • live too far away to attend a group class or in-person one-on-one

We talk about your health history and your health goals. Where are you now and where would you like to be?

We evaluate 25 specific areas of your body to determine objectively how they move in relation to each other.

We evaluate your ability to stabilize and mobilize different areas of your body - we determine your particular "gaps", where you currently are and how that contributes to your current symptoms

We work to bridge those gaps - we'll use a variety of correctives (stretches, exercises and movements) to help you make changes in how your body moves and functions

We investigate and explore your movement patterns - how do you stand, how do you walk? Those little movements you do a thousand times a day without even thinking about it all add up. I help you uncover what you're doing so you can better understand why your low back hurts when you stand for more than 15-20 minutes or why your left hip aches at the end of the day.

We investigate and explore your movement patterns. You are guided through different movements and stretches. You learn how to wake up muscles that fell asleep a long time ago and rediscover how to move parts of your body you forgot could move, like your kneecaps. You learn why it even matters whether or not you can move your kneecaps (I'm big on helping people understand the why behind what we do together).

You learn to be patient with where you are and work towards where you want to be.

It may feel strange and weird as many things do when we first learn them (or relearn them from long ago). You'll start paying attention in ways you've never before paid attention to your body.

By the end of your session, we've created a plan just for you that helps you move towards your specific goals.

You'll leave your session with various exercises, stretches and movements designed to undo the damage that years of unnatural movement patterns have layered onto your body. These are skills you practice and develop in between sessions.

After feeling somewhat “at a plateau” (as in I’m doing this stuff, but not really sure where I’m going with it or if I’m doing it right) it is nice to have some direction and feedback.

Hi, I'm Lisa Gillispie. I love helping my clients increase their understanding of how their body works and as well as how to modify their alignment and movement habits to better support a healthy, pain-free body.

I can show you simple steps to bridge your strength and mobility gaps and change the way you move, to help you get relief from your symptoms whether that's an achy back, twingy hip, knees that don't like the stairs, sneeze pee, or diastasis recti.

In January, 2013, I became a Nutritious Movement™ certified Restorative Exercise Specialist through The Nutritious Movement Center. I continue ongoing studies with Katy Bowman, MS and have completed the following post certification courses:

  • advanced teacher training
  • Advanced Biomechanics Course
  • Gait Lab 201
  • 52 Weeks Everybody Biomechanics

What you'll need for a long-distance session:

I'll also send you an email with a list of things to have handy during your session (things you can easily find around your home like a chair, etc.) as well as tips for getting the most out of your session and a pre-session survey.

$80 USD for a 60 minute session.

How it works

Once you click the "Get started now!" button below, you will be taken to my online schedule where you'll be able to see my most up-to-date availability. Schedule the day/time that works for you.

You'll then receive a confirmation email with all the details for prepping for your session, including a link to access the virtual meeting room we'll be using as well as a link to an online health history form to complete prior to your session.

If you don't see something that works with your schedule, email me Lisa [at] to see if there may be other options that work for you.

You have the option of paying for your session via credit card when you schedule your appointment. If not, I will email you an invoice, payable online via credit card, immediately after your appointment. Payment is due upon receipt of your invoice.

Note: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover and Diners Club are accepted forms of payment.

Your time is valuable, my time is valuable. You are welcome to reschedule your appointment as long as it's 24 hours before we're scheduled to meet. If you reschedule after that window has passed (barring medical or family emergency or weather interference), your payment will be applied to your original appointment. Likewise, if I make a (fortunately extremely rare) scheduling mistake and need to cancel or reschedule your appointment with less than 24 hour notice (barring illness or family emergency), you get a free session.

Just send me an email - Lisa[at]LisaLLC[dot]com or call (614) 563-3094 - and I'll be glad to answer any questions you have about any of this, or see answers to some commonly asked questions here.
