When your body talks, you're forced to listen

Your body has a way of getting your attention and letting you know all is not working well.

Maybe you're all too familiar with the chronic nagging back ache or twingy hip that get in the way of you doing the things you love.

Perhaps you have knees that get crabby when you take the stairs or a back that mysteriously "goes out" when you overdo it in the garden or turn the wrong way.

You wonder if all of this is just a part of getting older. After all, you're not 20 any more.

Or maybe genetics are to blame since knee/hip/back problems run in your family.

What if....

What if you didn't have to settle for pain and discomfort being a part of life at 30, 40, 50 or older?

What if you weren't doomed by your genetics?

You want to....

  • go up and down stairs without knee pain.

  • garden or play comfortably on the floor with your favorite pet or kids or grandkids and not worry about your hips locking up or a back spasm immobilizing you

  • strengthen your core and/or rehab a diastasis recti

  • walk without pain.

  • keep your original parts and avoid costly surgery and time consuming recovery.

  • age better than your parents.

  • cultivate healthy movement habits.

  • take that hike that's on your bucket list.

You are how you move

You've heard the phrase "you are what you eat" but have you considered you are how you move?

Your movement habits (how often you move, how much you move, the kinds of movement you do) plus your strength (or lack of) and your mobility (or lack of) all add up and contribute to how well your body moves and feels.

In short, how you move and use your body day in and day out can set you up for knee, hip and back issues or it can contribute to your health and well-being and help you get relief from and prevent those issues.

What if you could learn to move better and get relief?

Changing how you move can take pressure off of joints, strengthen muscles, decrease wear and tear on joints, improve mobility and reduce muscle imbalances.

When you have better strength, mobility and movement habits, your body works better and you can move more comfortably.

It can be hard to identify which movement habits need to be improved and what areas need strengthened or mobilized, let alone figure out the best way to go about doing that so you're actually seeing results and not just wasting your time.

After all, time is your most precious, and limited, resource.

You don't have hours to spend hours wading through blog posts, listening to podcasts and reading book after book to figure out where to get started.

You're unsure which exercises will be the most helpful, which ones will be the best use of your limited time. You worry that you aren't doing them right.

You want to get started now because you're tired of not feeling good.

You want relief sooner than later.

You wish you had someone to synthesize it for you, to put the essentials together and lay out the map so you can get started and get relief without the overwhelm.

You want to learn how to help yourself but you'd like a guide along the way, someone to offer you feedback, support and reassurance.

Learn the fundamentals and get relief

When it comes to fixing your body by improving how you move, there are certain fundamental concepts and exercises that are key no matter what symptoms you're experiencing.

Learn to do those well and you'll put the pieces in place to improve a variety of physical ailments.

That's what the online course Move Better, Feel Better: Relief for Knees, Hips and Backs offers you.

In this program, you'll learn a variety of exercises designed to support the function of your entire body.

Why bother with the whole body when you have just a knee, hips, or back problem?

Because there is no part of your body that is an island unto itself.

Everything is interconnected.

The function of your knees, your hips, and your back depend on every other part of your body doing its job well.

It may seem like just a knee/hip/back problem, but the function of your knees/hips/back depends on what's going on with your feet, your pelvis, and your core.

If you just focus on one isolated part, you won't get the results you would if you also addressed the rest of our body. It all works together!

What to expect

During this 4-week online program that, you'll be guided step-by-step through a series of exercises that will begin to bridge the strength, stability and mobility deficits that contribute to your symptoms. You will:

  • identify, and correct, the movement habits that are at the root of your symptoms

  • learn essential exercises for foot, knee, hip, core and pelvis health

  • improve the function of your whole body by improving strength and mobility in key areas

  • develop skills to help you stay strong and mobile throughout your life

  • receive personalized support and feedback along the way

No more floundering on your own. You'll have support and structure to guide you along the way.

You'll get easy-to-implement, bite-sized nuggets of information condensed down to the essentials so you can get started on your journey to get relief and feel better without the overwhelm.

I have struggled for years with lower back pain, spasms, and super duper tight hips/butt. I have tried to get “into” better alignment, but have always found it overwhelming and hard to figure out where to start. This course is the best money I have spent in my entire life. Seriously.

Hi, I'm Lisa Gillispie. I developed Move Better, Feel Better: Pain Relief for Knees, Hips, and Backs because I've seen too many people blame "getting old" or genetics for their symptoms when they could be helping themselves get relief.

Your strength, mobility and stability deficits, along with your daily habits, are roadblocks that set you up for the symptoms you're experiencing - that achy back, twingy hip, knees that don't like the stairs, sneeze pee and more.

I can show you simple steps to bridge those deficits and change the way you move so you get relief from your symptoms.

My years of dance training and teaching gave me a keen eye for noticing people's movement and alignment habits. I've honed this further in my bodywork practice of 20 years, as a Nutritious Movement™ certified Restorative Exercise Specialist and as a Somatic Experiencing™ Practitioner. All of this experience informs the program I've created for you, the information I wish I'd had years ago.

People who take this course are seeking relief from back aches, knee discomfort and/or hip pain. They'd like to age better than their parents have and they'd like to keep their original parts if at all possible.

They want to learn how to help themselves so they can feel good in their body and move comfortably. They want a starting point for how to improve their movement habits. If these are the things you want, Move Better, Feel Better: Pain Relief for Hips, Knees and Back is for you.

I so appreciated the easy-to-follow format of the class and how it was presented in bite-sized pieces.
